Enforcing system limits starting with March 31st

Hi all,

To protect site performance and prevent system abuses and attacks, we're planning to (re)enforce certain system limits by 31st March 2016. As such we’re going to:

  • limit for the maximum number of modules that will be rendered on a page to 300; we previously had this limit set to 75 and have temporarily disabled it during the migration to the new engine which proved that we can safely quadruple that value without impacting the site's or data center performance. Anything above this value does impact a page loading time and also has some impact on the rest of the system.
  • limit the number of iterations/computations that can be done on a page to 25,000;
  • limit the page rendering time to 30 seconds (only for site’s front-end pages)

Based on our analytics data, we have found that some sites are above (or well above) these limits and will need to be updated prior to effective date of enforcement. We are going to start communicating with partners owning these sites to limit the impact of this change.

Thank you,

The Adobe Business Catalyst team
