Tuesday, August 25th, at 11:00 UTC, we'll update the new version of Business Catalyst service to fix some minor issues. Please find below the detailed list of changes included in the update:
Updates
- Resources under _System/Apps folder will be accessible only from the app domain while authenticated; while the change will be pushed to production, will be still be keeping it off until the R208 release so that you can update your apps to place the front-end files into a "public" folder
- Added support for a "public" folder inside an app root folder; static assets placed inside the "public" folder will be accessible in both site front-end and back-end and will not require authentication (more information can be found here)
- The Facebook Feed module will be removed as it has been deprecated and retired by Facebook. If your pages still include the module, the system will render the module definition in the page (ex: module_facebookfeed). More information could be found on the initial announcement.
- Updated element section in the new editor so that it correctly applies classes and formatting on elements. One of the problems was highlighted on this developer forum idea.
- Added insert table and background color buttons to the new editor when editing a blog post
